The Venetian has some of Las Vegas’ most popular restaurants on the strip. Naturally, everyone’s talking about celebrity chef restaurants like CUT by Wolfgang Puck or Delmonico Steakhouse by Chef Emeril Lagasse. I’m not saying these aren’t worth the hype, but let’s not forget about those hidden gems that may not receive the same attention.
After dining at Gjelina Las Vegas, it became pretty apparent this was one of those restaurants that fly under the radar. There’s actually three locations globally of this restaurant chain. In addition to the Vegas location, you can find the others in New York City and in Venice, California.
Compared to other Las Vegas restaurants, Gjelina Las Vegas sets itself with a true “farm-to-table” experience. From the exterior, you wouldn’t know it but this restaurant actually uses simple, locally-sourced ingredients that make a huge difference in how fresh each meal tastes.
While you’re probably chomping at the bit to go to some of the Venetian’s more famous restaurants, hear me out on why a lunch or dinner at Gjelina Las Vegas should make your Vegas trip itinerary. In this guide, I’ll break down everything you want to know about this hidden gem, from atmosphere to what to order from the Gjelina Las Vegas menu.
What sets Gjelina Las Vegas apart

Gjelina Las Vegas classifies itself as serving “New American” cuisine, featuring a farm-to-table concept with vibrant, produce-centric dishes. The restaurant is actually named after the founder’s mother, which opened its first location in Venice in 2008. For Las Vegas, this restaurant is much newer to the scene, which first opened in late 2024.
Vibe & atmosphere
I really like the atmosphere inside this restaurant. Unlike many Vegas restaurants that try to have a dark, moody feel, this restaurants’ vibe felt more uplifting. Sometimes the darkness of Vegas can be a little too much. Rather than trying to compete with the many steakhouses and upscale celebrity restaurants in the area, Gjelina sets its own tone. I love that.
Rather than dimly-lit pathways, think reclaimed wood, exposed brick, and an open kitchen. I would describe the atmosphere as a combination of slightly-warm yet also minimalist. I loved dining here for lunch, but I think the atmosphere would also lend itself to a laid-back, more casual-style Vegas dinner.
Gjelina Las Vegas menu
Anytime I see a charcuterie board on the menu.. I’m ordering it. Immediately after sitting down for my lunch reservation and scanning the Gjelina Las Vegas menu, I noticed a delicious cheese and charcuterie selection on the menu. Ordering a charcuterie at a restaurant is always a huge gamble.
You never know what you’ll get. I’m glad I went for it here because this turned out to be one of the most delicious charcuterie boards I’ve had. The selection of flavors really paired well together and everything tasted so fresh. The best part was the honey butter. They will also serve you bread with this (though I opted out of it as I try to stay lower carb in my selections whenever possible). We didn’t order any ourselves, but saw many others ordering the wood-fired pizzas here (something they’re known for).
Lighter fares on the Gjelina Las Vegas menu

Vegas meals can sometimes get really heavy. By the end of a Las Vegas trip, it’s not uncommon to feel like you never want to see food again (I’ve been there). For this reason, I love the lighter fare and selections on the Gjelina Las Vegas menu. Even the cocktail selection seems lighter and fruiter.

I opted for the arugula salad (with an add-on protein of steak). The Meyer lemon vinaigrette on this salad really hit the spot and everything tasted so fresh. We didn’t have a single bite of food at this restaurant that we didn’t enjoy. My husband opted for the seared salmon with balsamic glaze which he said was amazing (I skipped this because I don’t eat fish). The key thing that really sets the restaurant experience here apart is the freshness of the food which tastes really “farm fresh”.
